Bad breath is quite annoying, especially because it haunts many people. First, keep up on oral hygiene. It’s also recommended to brush your tongue after you’ve cleaned your smile. Doing these things will wash foul-smelling food particles and bacteria away and freshen your breath. Also, make sure to attend your six-month checkups. Regular dental checkups will help you combat bad breath, especially if the bad breath results from periodontal disease. Second, clean your dental appliances. If you wear dentures, retainers or mouthguards, make sure you clean them at least once a day. If you don’t, the bacteria and food particles can easily cause odorous breath.

Third, moisten your mouth. Chewing always helps produce saliva, which moistens your mouth. So, try to eat healthy foods that require a lot of chewing and chew sugar-free gum regularly.

Fourth, quit using tobacco products. If you quit smoking and using tobacco products, you will not only have a fresh and pristine breath, but you will also have strong and successful health.
